Our mission is to provide for the immediate economic, physical, educational and emotional needs of children in Hood County.
Families go through hard times, and sometimes we can be the financial 'bridge' to get them over the gap through actions like paying a utility bill or unexpected costs.
Caring for the physical needs of a child is the utmost immediate of focus of HCCCF. That need could be in the form of clothing, medications, shoes, or a dental visit.
Supporting a child through their education will provide numerous opportunities after they graduate high school, and our scholarships support in such a way. We also partner with local school districts for other educational needs.
A child's emotional well-being can be a core essential need, and through our resources we can link children with counselors and other organizations to get them support.
Many times after a family experiences tragedy, like a fire, or are leaving a domestic violence situation, most of the time just have what is on their back. We can quickly step in to get the essentials for them until long term care is set up.
